Yaheetech L-Shaped 3 Seater Convertible Corner Sofa Bed: seating and a spare bed in one

About this sofa beds

Yaheetech L-Shaped 3 Seater Convertible Corner Sofa Bed in Light Grey

Short on bedrooms? The Yaheetech L-Shaped 3 Seater Convertible Corner Sofa Bed sits as a sofa for everyday living and converts into a bed when you need one, so a study, lounge or spare room can double as a guest room. It comes in light grey. The upholstery is a soft woven fabric chosen for everyday comfort, with a surface that is comfortable against the skin and fits easily into most living-room colour schemes.

Foam padding does the work in the seat and back, keeping the cushions plump and supportive. The frame is described as solid wood, which is what holds a sofa square and stops it creaking or sagging as the years go by. Listed seat depth is 55cm and seat height 44cm, which means a balanced seat that works for both sitting up and relaxing back. Maximum load is listed at 350kg.

The sofa converts into a bed when you need one and goes back to a sofa the next morning. Practical extras listed include hidden storage and scatter cushions or pillows, so remotes, phones, drinks and blankets all have somewhere to go.

Day to day it behaves like any other sofa; the bed is there when you need it, so the room does not have to be a dedicated guest room. Light grey is a flexible, calm colour that works with warm woods, cool whites and bolder accent cushions alike.

It is listed as 3 seater. Expect to do a little assembly; instructions and fixings are supplied. Tape its footprint on the floor, then measure the front door, hallway and any stairs so there are no surprises on delivery day.

Photographs show the sofa under studio or showroom lighting, and screens vary, so allow for the colour to look slightly different in your own room. It suits spare rooms, home offices, studio flats and anyone who regularly hosts, since one piece of furniture does the work of two.

Care guide

How to care for your light grey upholstered sofa bed

A sofa is a big purchase, so a little regular care goes a long way. These steps are written for the upholstery on this sofa; always check the care label on the sofa itself first and test any cleaner on a hidden patch.

1. Vacuum regularlyUse a soft upholstery attachment once a week to lift dust and crumbs from the surface and the seams.
2. Blot spills at oncePress a clean, dry cloth onto the liquid without rubbing, then dab the area with a cloth dampened with mild soapy water.
3. Follow the care labelThe label on the sofa shows which cleaning methods the fabric tolerates. Test any cleaner on a hidden patch first.
4. Look after the bed mechanismOpen and close it slowly, check nothing is trapped underneath, and avoid standing or jumping on the backrest while it is flat. Stay within the listed 350kg load limit and spread the weight along the bed rather than concentrating it at one edge.
5. Keep it away from heat and strong sunRadiators, fires and a window that gets all-day sun fade and dry out upholstery. A gap from heat sources and a curtain or blind at the brightest hours keeps the colour true for longer.
6. Know when to call a professionalIf the sofa is badly stained or the label says professional cleaning only, an upholstery cleaner will know what is safe for the fabric. It costs far less than replacing the sofa, and always test any product on a hidden area first.
