How to choose
Choosing a sofa set
Check what is in the set
A 3+2 set is a three-seater and a two-seater. Always check the product page and photos for exactly what is included, as some listings sell a single sofa from the same range.
Plan the room layout
Two sofas need a room that can take them. Measure the walls and allow walkways of about 60cm. The two-seater often sits at right angles to the three-seater or opposite it.
Match the finish to the room
A matching suite needs a calm background, so lean on neutral walls and add colour with cushions, rugs and throws.
Value over buying separately
Buying a matching pair avoids the common problem of two slightly different fabrics, and the suite is usually the better value for a larger living room.
