About this 2 seater sofas

TOTEBOX 178cm Corduroy 2 Seater Loveseat in Green

A compact sofa does not have to feel like a compromise. The TOTEBOX 178cm Corduroy 2 Seater Loveseat is a two-seater that fits tighter rooms while still reading as a real piece of living-room furniture. It is upholstered in corduroy in green. Corduroy has a ribbed pile that looks warm and textured, hides everyday marks better than a smooth weave and feels soft against bare arms. It is one of the most popular living-room upholstery choices in the UK right now.

Foam filling gives the seat and back their shape and bounce, so the sofa does not slump after a few weeks. Springs underneath the padding add support and stop the seat feeling like a block of foam. Wood is listed as the frame material, the part of a sofa that matters most for how long it keeps its shape. Raised wooden legs keep the sofa off the floor, which makes the room feel more open and makes cleaning underneath easy. With a listed seat depth of 56cm and a seat height of 41cm, you get a balanced seat that works for both sitting up and relaxing back.

Practical extras listed include side pockets and scatter cushions or pillows, so remotes, phones, drinks and blankets all have somewhere to go.

Because it is compact it is also easy to move, reposition or take with you to the next home, which makes it a sensible purchase in a rented property. Green is a statement colour: it makes the sofa the centre of the room, and it works best with neutral walls and a restrained palette around it.

Width is listed at 178cm. It is listed as 2 seater. It arrives needing some assembly, with the fixings and instructions included. Allow for the walk in as well as the final spot: doorways, stairs and tight hallway corners are where sofas get stuck.

Real rooms are never lit like a photo studio, so allow for the shade to look a little warmer or cooler at home. Choose it for a small living room, a bedroom seating corner or a study where a three-seater would dominate.

Care guide

How to care for your green corduroy two-seater sofa

A sofa is a big purchase, so a little regular care goes a long way. These steps are written for the corduroy on this sofa; always check the care label on the sofa itself first and test any cleaner on a hidden patch.

  1. Vacuum with the ribsOnce a week, run a soft upholstery brush attachment along the length of the ribs rather than across them. This lifts dust and crumbs out of the grooves without flattening the pile.
  2. Blot spills, never rubPress a clean, dry cloth onto a spill straight away to lift it. Rubbing drives liquid down into the ribs and can leave a shiny, flattened patch.
  3. Spot clean carefullyFor a mark that blotting has not shifted, use a cloth barely dampened with mild soapy water, test a hidden corner first, and let it dry naturally rather than with a hairdryer.
  4. Plump and rotateGive the seat and back cushions a good plump once a week, and where cushions are loose swap their positions now and then so wear spreads evenly.
  5. Keep it away from heat and strong sunRadiators, fires and a window that gets all-day sun fade and dry out upholstery. A gap from heat sources and a curtain or blind at the brightest hours keeps the colour true for longer.
  6. Know when to call a professionalIf the sofa is badly stained or the label says professional cleaning only, an upholstery cleaner will know what is safe for the fabric. It costs far less than replacing the sofa, and always test any product on a hidden area first.

Got questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

What size is the TOTEBOX 178cm Corduroy 2 Seater Loveseat?

The listing gives a width of 178cm. Seat depth is 56cm and seat height 41cm. It is listed as 2 seats. Measure your space and the route into the room before ordering.

Does it need assembly, and how long does it take?

Yes, some assembly is required and the instructions and fixings are supplied. Check the specification table and allow a little time, ideally with a second pair of hands.

How do I keep the corduroy looking good?

Once a week, run a soft upholstery brush attachment along the length of the ribs rather than across them. This lifts dust and crumbs out of the grooves without flattening the pile. Press a clean, dry cloth onto a spill straight away to lift it. Rubbing drives liquid down into the ribs and can leave a shiny, flattened patch. The full care guide is further up this page.

Is it comfortable for long sitting?

The seat is foam-filled with a spring system beneath, and a seat depth of 56cm gives a balanced seat that works for both sitting up and relaxing back.

Will it fit through my door?

Measure the narrowest point on the route in, such as the front door, hallway turns and stairs, and compare it to the listed dimensions. If a sofa is tight, check whether it comes in sections or can be tilted.

How much is delivery and how long will it take?

Delivery is free on orders over £100. Your exact delivery information is confirmed at checkout, and large items may be delivered separately from smaller orders.

Can I return it if it is not right?

Yes, in line with our returns policy. Because sofas are large and often delivered on a pallet or in a large carton, please read the returns page for how to arrange a return and email us before sending anything back.

Is a 2-seater sofa the right size for you?

What the seat count really means

A seat count is a guide to how many people can sit side by side without squeezing, not how many can fit when everyone is close. Most households sit comfortably with one fewer person than the number quoted.

Who you usually sit with

Think about a normal evening rather than the busiest night of the year. If it is two of you most days, a two-seater is the right call and leaves floor space free.

Think about guests

If you host at Christmas or for family birthdays, plan for the busiest day: extra chairs, a pouffe or a sofa bed can make up the difference without making the sofa too big for every other day.

Check the floor plan

At 178cm wide, this sofa should still leave a clear walkway and the doors able to open fully.
