Guyii 178cm Upholstered 2 Seater Loveseat in Brown

Smaller rooms deserve a sofa that fits them properly. The Guyii 178cm Upholstered 2 Seater Loveseat is a two-seater loveseat-style piece for flats, bedrooms, offices and entrance halls. It comes in brown. The upholstery is a soft woven fabric chosen for everyday comfort, with a surface that is comfortable against the skin and fits easily into most living-room colour schemes.

Cushioning is foam filling, the usual choice for a seat that stays supportive through daily use. Listed seat depth is 52cm and seat height 40cm, which means a balanced seat that works for both sitting up and relaxing back. A listed weight limit of 150kg points to a frame built for everyday use.

Practical extras listed include scatter cushions or pillows, so remotes, phones, drinks and blankets all have somewhere to go.

Day to day, a two-seater is the sofa you actually end up sitting on: it takes two people, or one person with a laptop and a blanket, and it leaves the rest of the room free for a coffee table, a desk or a play area. A warm tone like brown gives a room a grounded, welcoming feel and ages gracefully, because everyday wear shows less on mid-to-dark tones.

It measures 178cm across, as listed. The listed dimensions are 178 x 79 x 85 cm; always measure your own space against the specification table as well. It is listed as 2 seater. Some assembly is required; the fixings and instructions come with it. Measure the room and, just as importantly, the hallway, stairs and doorways it has to get through before you order.

The colour in the photographs is a guide: lighting and screens differ, so judge the shade from the colour name and the photos together. Choose it for a small living room, a bedroom seating corner or a study where a three-seater would dominate.

Care guide

How to care for your brown upholstered two-seater sofa

A sofa is a big purchase, so a little regular care goes a long way. These steps are written for the upholstery on this sofa; always check the care label on the sofa itself first and test any cleaner on a hidden patch.

1. Vacuum regularlyUse a soft upholstery attachment once a week to lift dust and crumbs from the surface and the seams.
2. Blot spills at oncePress a clean, dry cloth onto the liquid without rubbing, then dab the area with a cloth dampened with mild soapy water.
3. Follow the care labelThe label on the sofa shows which cleaning methods the fabric tolerates. Test any cleaner on a hidden patch first.
4. Plump and rotateGive the seat and back cushions a good plump once a week, and where cushions are loose swap their positions now and then so wear spreads evenly.
5. Keep it away from heat and strong sunRadiators, fires and a window that gets all-day sun fade and dry out upholstery. A gap from heat sources and a curtain or blind at the brightest hours keeps the colour true for longer.
6. Know when to call a professionalIf the sofa is badly stained or the label says professional cleaning only, an upholstery cleaner will know what is safe for the fabric. It costs far less than replacing the sofa, and always test any product on a hidden area first.
